
I launch winclone and restore to new volume anyway since the utility recognizes this is an NTFS volume. Now I boot from the MAC again only the Fat 32 and macbook partitions are visible on the desktop, not the NTFS volume.

Both mac and PC can see the FAT32 partition.

FAT16 will only hold 2 GB regardless of what you set up partition for. (WHY? The mac can copy files to NTFS, but it cannot write to it. Using mac disk utility, went to 5GB partition, selected, erased, and formatted for DOS (may not have dos name correct but it was something for windows- later this was found to be visible on PC side as FAT16 so you cant make FAT32 from disk utility).

O after completion&Click restore since there is not a properly formatted NTFS drive, I cant install it. I selected options: prepare for restoring on a different partition, make self extracting, and remove pagefile.sys before imaging. O Click BACKUP and choose a destination on your current HD note- I select the drive untitled which is the PC partition name, the computer says the current WIN drive is NTFS. O After testing, rebooted again to old HD in OSX again. ( This step was completed was smooth and error free for me.) O I tested the new HD for OSX I opened firefox and went to web and all was normal. This boots it the one time from new drive. It asked to reboot from new drive after it is finished. Immediately create a bootable copy onto the new drive.
